2023 Genesis Invitational leaderboard: Live updates, Tiger Woods score, golf scores in Round 1 on Thursday

This week’s Genesis Invitational is the second consecutive designated event on the PGA Tour’s schedule, but the first that will include Tiger Woods. The odds of Woods winning are slim, but it will still be great to see him play his first non-major championship PGA Tour event since the end of 2020.

The competitive headliners here include the trio of Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler, who have combined to win 14 times since the beginning of 2022. That’s the same number of wins as Viktor Hovland, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Will Zalatoris, Matt Fitzpatrick, Cam Smith, Sungjae Im, Dustin Johnson, Cameron Young, Jordan Spieth and Collin Morikawa … combined.

Most of those players are in the field as well at mighty Riviera Country Club, which should provide a more low-key pace than the frenetic activity we saw last week in Phoenix. Riviera provides a perfect ending to the California swing and should crown an elite champion for the second straight week as the top players in the world duke it out for another $3.6 million first prize.

Keep it locked here as CBS Sports will be keeping track of everything with live updates and analysis throughout the day. Be sure to check out the full list of Genesis Invitational tee times as well as the complete TV coverage guide for the action throughout the weekend.
